Hupobu is a local bilingual desk for travel, study, and everyday talk. It does not create a user account and does not operate a Hupobu server for your slips.

What stays on the device

Typed lines, spoken transcripts, scanned stills, bilingual cards, Translation Credit balances, and purchase records are stored in Hupobu’s private storage on this iPhone or iPad. Camera, Photos, and Microphone access is requested only after you tap Scan Sign, Import Still, Save to Photos, Speak Line, Camera, or Album.

What we do not do

Hupobu does not sell personal information. It does not use an advertising identifier to follow you across other companies’ apps or websites. Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt appears after Translate My Content so you can set that system preference. Declining it does not block the desk.

Purchases

Optional Translation Credit packs are sold as consumable In-App Purchases through Apple. Apple processes payment. Credits live on this device. They cannot be restored after you remove the app or use Clear All Local Data.

Notifications

After the tracking prompt, Hupobu may ask for permission to send local reminders. Hupobu does not register this copy of the app for remote Apple Push tokens.

Clearing

Delete one card to remove that slip and files that no other slip uses. Clear All Local Data removes projects, media, cache, purchase history, and remaining credits, then returns you to first setup.
